Republicans: everyone must be able to carry any gun at all times, up to and including high powered rifles, to protect themselves against tyranny also Republicans, without batting an eye: carrying a gun is unquestionable justification for federal agents to shoot you dead in the street

My own mother told me *I* was a paid protestor; she’d call after a protest & say something about Soros & I’d be like, “How’s that work? Will I get the check in the mail? Is he writing all these checks by hand & licking the stamps?” She’d scoff & still not believe me that I hadn’t been paid to go.

Does anybody ever met a paid protestor? Is this something you can put on your tax return? Is it a cash under the table thing? What is the interview process like? How much does it pay, and is it worth getting tear gassed and assaulted for the salary? What about health insurance? Pension?

Post a pic of the venue where you saw your first concert, and a picture of the band/ artist. Savannah Civic Center, Hank Williams Jr. I was like, 6. My uncle took me; don't know if it was because no one could babysit me or what. I remember my tiny mind being blown by Hank playing every instrument.

Post a pic of the venue where you saw your first concert, and a picture of the band/ artist. Irish Rovers, January 1981, Whiting Auditorium, Flint, Michigan. It was really for my parents and their friends but they dragged all the kids along and, not gonna lie, I enjoyed it.

A lot of people like it when Seal goes “Bay-BAY I compare you to a kiss from a rose on the grey.” But you know what’s underrated? When Seal goes “But did you know that when it snows…”

I think about this in how the guy who ran MySpace sold his company and then traveled the world doing photography, while the guy who runs Facebook never let it go and has gone out of his way to destroy democracy in order to gain more power.

The desperate need to accumulate more and more at the cost of everyone else’s wellbeing should be classified as a mental disorder, and I will absolutely die on this hill.

If you like R.E.M. I can't stress enough how fun it is to see these guys play the hell out of the IRS era songs and Shannon channels Stipe so well - get on this, it's so fun and you can count on R.E.M. never touring again
