this was my entry to the X-Men as a child, Mutant Massacre and Empire Strikes Back set the template for hero stories for me - good guys lose - as a little kid I would reenact the Morlock tunnel fight and Han getting frozen over and over with toys - this explains a lot of my worldview to this day

saw OH MARY with Meg Stalter as Mary and it was amazing but left the show with the bone-deep certainty that the ideal non-original cast for this show would be Amy Sedaris as Mary, Stephen Colbert as Lincoln, and Paul Dinello as Booth

a fun fact is that virtually anything that is on a major streaming platform can be purchased a la carte on Amazon - not the ideal company, sure, but this has helped me a lot when it comes to artists who for whatever reason aren't on bandcamp

I always agree with this in principle but when stated like this it seems like actually liking the music and having specific taste is a weirdly unimportant part of engaging with music, like the artists are all interchangeable
