"You can just deny yourself and live in fear of being outed to survive in a culture that despises your existence." "You can just accept any children like you will live and die in the closet." "You can just disappear and stop bothering us forever. We are very allies."

I've started seeing cis people telling trans people that "you can just go stealth" in response to our concerns about Democratic transphobia, and even if that were true for all of us - and for many of us, it's not - that is honestly an incredibly gross thing to say. We shouldn't have to.

They guy lived and the guy worked, y'know? Your work as an creative can only flourish when you start to hold two concepts as equally true. - None of this is real, you need to have fun. - The feelings you can create in others are very real, so you must take your work deathly seriously.

Stewart himself was a real mensch for a lot of reasons, but I always appreciated the love he poured into his genre and comedy roles. serious actors don't always devote real acting to those kinds of parts, but Stewart always did. Macbeth or Professor X, he went at it with the same level of craft.

It is a true testament to the warmth and presence Patrick Stewart put into nearly every performance he did that his performance as Charles Xavier effectively made everyone forget Charles is kind of a big ol creep and weirdo for at least a decade or two

gonna start being louder about this here but: devs and journos im mutuals with! i'm an organiser with No Games for Genocide, and if you ever want to talk about taking actions like this or signing our pledge, but want to talk to someone you (sort of) know, feel free to DM or email me
