The pace of the world is the problem and not autistic me. Everything is about money, speed and efficiency and shames everyone else. Even if you're at maximum productivity it's do better next time. Everyone else is left to suffer with lots of difficulties to find a place for themselves and survive.

"aren't you here to make friends with everyonnnne?" fuck no, have you seen everyone? i want the resistors, the disrupters, the people who have finally had enough and don't want to play along any more or never could to begin with the ppl who see through this mess + don't look away just bc it hurts

One of the most disconcerting moments of living in this timeline of the world in the U.S. is that A LOT of people in this country keep acting like there's a special line that needs to be crossed for fascism to *arrive.* The reality is that we are CURRENTLY living under Federal fascism. NOW.

Anthropic banning “abusive or cruel behavior” toward Claude in its new usage policies is proof to me that tech companies are going to moderate violence against AI before they ever moderate violence against women and minorities

If you think you believe in human rights but also believe those rights can legitimately be revoked by a government (for whatever reason), you don’t believe in human rights.

“I see protest as a genuine means of encouraging someone to feel the inconsistencies, the horror, of the lives we are living. Social protest is to say that we do not have to live this way." — Audre Lorde

Whenever White people talk about blackface or any number of similar topics, I'm reminded how little they get it. "Like, yes, there are specific instances in history" -- No John, there was *an entire artistic movement built around it*. "Sure but today-" -- Your people never stopped mocking us, John.

Donald Trump recently removed all Title IX protections from LGBTQ people in general, not just trans people. The explicit goal is to create violent bullying that makes LGBTQ people suffer. The explicit goal is to see more Matthew Shepard and Brianna Ghey type deaths.

In a capitalist society, you're only allowed to talk about certain things and it must be done in a particular way. That's because even allowing discourse to happen allows it to exist as a possibility that can be actualized. You're not allowed to seriously discuss anything that's a threat to power.

Disabled people are over twice as likely to experience sexual assault than non-disabled people. In the US specifically, 2 in 5 women who experienced rape are disabled. Among US men who experienced sexual violence, 1 in 4 are disabled. Sexual violence is an issue of disability justice.

"I might not have been able to talk, but I knew hundreds if not thousands of words. Pretty silly to assume that just because someone can’t say something, they don’t know it." And yet, this assumption is made about nonspeakers every day in schools, care settings, and communities.

“Presuming competence means doing things like reading literature or school textbooks out loud, holding real conversations that are age appropriate (even if nonspeakers can’t respond), & meaningfully involving nonspeakers in whatever is going on." -Jace Pooley autismspectrumnews.org/the-power-of...

🚨TRIGGER WARNING🚨 Discussion of rape/sexual violence & strong language. ☑️ Bear ☐ Man This spoken word poem stopped me in my tracks The bear was never really the point. The point is why so many women understood the answer immediately Listen to her words. They matter. —Claire Donohoe🐻💜 #SheShed

I’ve gotten a lot of questions from journalists like, “If my son were in that group chat, I’d want him to say something. How can I teach him to speak up?” The question should be: “How do I raise a son who would never rush a fraternity?”

"Sheryl, why do you focus on the US and Israel so much? Do you hate Western civilization?" I was born in a country built on stolen land with the forced stolen labor of enslaved people. Therefore, I will talk about how evil it is to steal land and enslave people and how we must make that right.

So, friends, it’s not enough to say, “I would never do that!” What are you doing when you see something? Hear a heinous joke? Are you laughing along, even uncomfortably? Are you pretending you didn’t see the group message until morning? Or are you stepping up?

The prudent saboteur does not plan a caper, it lies in wait for opportunity to confound Nurses Teachers Fellow humans How will you be sand in the gears when your time comes? What can you safely do? What can YOU feel comfortable doing? Think about it in advance. What could that look like for you?
