The day after 9/11, family friends, who did not know, where at the house and openly talking about how all Arabs and Muslims in the US should be rounded up into camps. I was 12 years old. We were never united.

BLM was often criticized for being supposedly over the top in their claims about some Americans disdain for Black life. Here is evidence, from a Presidential advisor and OMB director, that the euphemism of gutting "DEI" policies means Black kids will die. It is quite literally a policy goal.

Letter to the Editor: There is a glaring absence of designated bike lanes running north and south through the midsection of Chicago. Please consider adding safe bike lanes, however configured, along a major north-south corridor, such as Pulaski Road.
Letters: I feel safer riding a bike in Chicago than driving a car. But bike safety is still a concern.

Consistent with a theme I've noticed in progressive policymaking, where advocates/policymakers assume that the only acceptable policy intervention is one that carries no possible tradeoffs, and that there are surely no tradeoffs associated with leaving a horrendous status quo in place.

Instead of considering how that could be due to how our suburbs are basically designed to isolate, the conclusion was “desegregation is harmful”
Also kinda crazy that one famous person can apply to shut down multiple blocks in Midtown, including public transit stations, while many communities struggle to get the necessary permission and funding to host open streets and block parties. Oh well!
