Trump approved disaster aid requests from six red states last week. Two days later, he rejected aid requests from four blue states. Not only is he punishing states who didn’t vote for him, he’s playing politics with people’s lives. Despicable.

Tobias Wilson-Bates@phdhurtbrain.bsky.social · 6mo agoOccasionally reminded that Georgia added a “post tenure review” process bc they were so certain that professors became deadweight once they had job security, and all the outcomes have proven JUST THE OPPOSITE! People work harder and in more complex ways when they feel secure in their employment.

Finally back into a consistent writing schedule for the first time since 2020. I was tenured in May 2020, was on faculty senate, and was part of our Uni emergency mgmt team. COVID for me (professionally) was multiple years of massive service load. I don't regret that work...
