everyone is making pretty bold anecdotal claims about the Yandex DC going out resulting in less right wing content, but all the actual data I’ve seen has been saying it hasn’t moved the needle at all. I would be very skeptical of these claims; they will almost certainly turn out to be totally false.

I've been told to stay off the skateboard for a bit longer but sometimes when I take my son to the skate park I'll bring my sketch book and scratch something down (Rolling Magic in Lenexa and Penn Valley in Kansas City)

Interviewer: can you explain this gap in your resume? Skateboarder: ok so hardware store and the Costco parking lot are at a 4 foot elevation differential and separated by an 8 foot strip of grass. The run up on the high side is short but if you start at parallel you can get enough speed to 180 it.

Ok, another one! Choose your own adventure comic - beautifully executed! I had shown them one of @jasonshiga.bsky.social’s & she ran with it! (Also another first time comics student). I have guides to making minicomics on my site, including the Shiga example here spinweaveandcut.com/making-tools...

Students made their first minicomics in my intro making course - mostly standard format but this student, a first time maker(!), did something so off the charts I’m still reeling from it! & he made like 12 of them for his classmates! A paper engineering feat of flipbookery as well as killer drawing!

This is considered comedy in some circles? Anybody who wants to complain about people getting "unfair advantages" should first be asked to explain how this guy keeps getting gigs

I mean, no, the reason cops are disproportionately likely to say they believe rates of false allegations are higher than they are is because cops are disproportionately likely to do things that would make them the subject of allegations that are true
