One of the main ways they attack us is by driving us, especially our youth, to suicide. People getting thrown out of their homes by their parents is common. The specter of hate crimes looms over us. These things are affected by public statements. We have skin in the game. It’s not just aesthetics.

I don’t love seeing my timeline fill up with cis liberals reposting each other about how unserious trans people are for caring about our rights in ways other than election results. We are being attacked in daily life, not just politics. Publicly abandoning us is harmful even if it’s just for show.

On the bright side I'm gonna be able to cull a lot of politics accounts I follow when they try to tell me this is A Good Thing, actually. Yeah he's better than Paxton but I wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire after this week.
