Unapologetically normie aesthetics. Lover of Worker Coops. More unions is more better. LVT enjoyer. Tool library hype. Also love MST3K, Rifftrax, Last Drive In With Marcy The Mail Girl, Svengoolie, and similar nonsense. He/him

Just gonna take a moment to call for eliminating FPTP. It wouldn't change the outcome but the coming discourse would be less toxic by at least a bit.

I generally prefer more concrete demands in my political messaging, but for immigration policy we genuinely do need culture war (positive). Decades of tolerating media that shows migrants and drugs as a valid source of criminal danger, on broadcast television, it’s rancid and accepted.

The average America is just totally, completely wrong about immigration, thanks to a combination of a lack of education and a deluge of right-wing propaganda for which the left has never had a remotely satisfactory answer. The standard normie response of "Just come legally!" is utterly unrealistic.

Its really telling that when you see a dog pile on this site the wost people will be screaming the most hateful shit and end every post with "turn on replies you coward" but also turn off all their replies AND qts.

I think that not only is this good politics, but the stability of American society depends on it. Liberal American normies are out for blood, but *everyone* is in an anti-system mood. If we don't feed that beast some sacrifices, it'll find someone who can, and those sacrifices will be innocent.

Chaperoning a preschool trip to the aquarium and one of the other dads who is vaguely familiar with what I do comes up to me and goes “man I sure hope we get some Nuremberg-style trials at the end of all this”

trans rights frankly is a top 5, potentially top 3 issue for me despite not being trans and not having any trans family being bigoted against trans folks not only hurts my trans friends and every trans person but is so predictive of further bigotry

We learned from the gerrymandering fight that the most effective way is to stop the GOP from doing shit like this is to actually reciprocate until they cry. Doing that for disaster aid feels monstrous but the only other option is winning every election forever...

“Trump has rejected disaster aid for Democratic-run states at the highest rate in the 47-year history of the Federal Emergency Management Agency.” Right now people in blue states are basically paying federal taxes as if they’re colonized territories of red states. www.politico.com/news/2026/03...

Wow a day with Stancil in the discourse and a whole bunch of people with 30 followers showing up "just learning about how toxic he is" but some how already have a collection of dozens of screen shots and links... So weird. What could explain that?

I think Zohran’s grocery stores are a worthwhile policy experiment. That said, the idea that people in food deserts eat less produce due to lack of access has been thoroughly debunked. The real problem is that low-income people can’t use SNAP for hot prepared foods.

Understandably, folks focus on how much Peltola over performs a generic Democrat (and she does). But the Alaska Democratic Party is probably one of the best organized Democratic parties in a red state. If they flip the governorship and Senate seat, it will be because the party earned it.
