This is a smart, because senior politicians and press have been treating reactionary crackpots, vicious wingnuts and straight up fascists as sage and judicious advisors on radicalisation, extremism and racism for at least a decade. This convict neo-Nazi will fit right in with the rest.

He was imprisoned in 2015 and says that he abandoned his far-right views while in prison. Since he was only released in 2018, when did he have the opportunity to encounter this antisemitism in Corbyn’s Labour Party?

I also encountered the antisemitism that was within the Labour Party, particularly under Jeremy Corbyn. I found myself meeting with white working class, old school socialists who seemed like respectable people, but who seemed openly supportive of antisemitic conspiracies, and that was well before the attacks of October 7th 2023.

Interesting passage in the mea culpa on antisemitism from Tory council candidate at centre of selection row, supporting the view - fiercely denied by most on left at the time - that Corbyn was a magnet drawing antisemitic cranks into Labour. By 2015, when I was 22 turning 23, this ideology had become my whole exis-tence. I welcomed Jeremy Corbyn's election as Labour leader because I saw him as hostile to Israel and aligned with anti-Zionist politics. In my mind, all of this was part of the same war. Alongside those I associated with, I began targeting Jewish MPs and becoming loudly vocal about what we called "Jew-ish infiltration".
