If you're a financial supporter, you can email them (donate@wikimedia.org) and let them know what you think of this. I've done so and asked how I can cancel my recurring donation. I try hard not to financially support organisations that don't value what I value.

Wikimedia Foundation just fired a long time lead developer of MediaWiki as well as its entire community team for unionizing. If you’re a donor, email donate@wikimedia.org to protest this move. medium.com/@jakeorlowit...

Just off a call with a vendor. They were looking for candour, asking for my view on a couple of sensitive things. The guy had the Meta glasses on. I didn't feel able to ask him to take them off, so I made a joke about them and he immediately took them off. The call was with a cybersecurity vendor.

AWS launches Amazon Connect Health, an AI-driven suite to *harvest* clinical documentation, billing and procedure coding, and patient identity verification. And then spew it all out to attackers during some easily preventable data breach.

Yep this is the real threat and it is so hard to shift research thinking on it. Attacking OT ineffectively is generally high cost low reward. But attacking it effectively is an information challenge more than a hacking one. Local documentation is shit and discovery is hard. Processes are complex

This app, Nearby Glasses, has one purpose: to warn you about so-called smart glasses nearby. No details are collected about the phone or it's user. No telemetry, no ads and no other nuisances. False positives are to be expected, use with caution.

I made an app. play.google.com/store/apps/d... Nearby Glasses is here to warn you when smart glasses are nearby. I hope it's useful for someone. Nearby Glasses's open source, free and rather simple github.com/yjeanrenaud/... It's also downloadable outside the Play Store. iOS port is in the making

Smart Glasses are probably nearby
Device: Unknown
RSSI: -42 dBm
Reason: Meta Company ID (0x058E)
Company: Meta Platforms, Inc.

This app notifies you when smart glasses are nearby. It uses company identificators in the Bluetooth data sent out by these. Therefore, there likely are false positives (e.g. from VR headsets). Hence, please proceed with caution when approaching a person nearby wearing glasses. They might just be regular glasses, despite this app's warning.

FACTCHECK: Centrica's Chris O'Shea got blanket coverage for claiming electricity will cost more in 2030 than in energy crisis (Chris Stark: "he's wrong on this") I asked Centrica for evidence – they didn’t reply (Bills in crisis were >2x today, before huge govt subsidies) 1/4

No doubt Zahawi a big name for Reform & helps with momentum. But his resignation was on what the public see as a clear ‘one rule for them’ type scandal they hate - so a risk this, more than previous switches, could blunt Reform’s appeal as ‘different to usual political class’.
