I cross-referenced my database of candidates against credible voter fraud cases. GOP politicians are implicated at 50x–38,000x the general public's rate. Yet even if every American voted with the integrity of a GOP candidate, it still wouldn't come close to justifying making voting one iota harder.

Bar chart titled "Voter fraud among Republican politicians vastly exceeds the public's. That rate is still just 1 in 850." The chart shows that 0.118% of Republican politicians (17 out of 14,442 DIME candidates from 2016–2026) have been credibly implicated in voter fraud. This rate is represented by a tall red bar that dwarfs the microscopic rates for the general electorate, making the politicians' rate 50x to 38,000x higher than the documented rates for everyone else.

I’m saddened to announce the passing of my work colleague, The Zodiac Killer. While we were often on opposing sides of the business, I always enjoyed his silly little scavenger hunts.

This is so disappointing. Some of you may not be surprised, but I had no idea. Dammit. At this point, with what we *all* know, anybody hobnobbing with these sociopaths are the same as the people that were hobnobbing with those other sociopaths in Germany in the late ‘30s. I said what I said.

There is something terribly wrong about an economy that produces its first trillionaire, but cannot provide health care for its people. Or one in which the richest handful of families have the combined wealth of almost forty percent of the rest of the country.

Elon Musk’s net worth of $1.1 trillion is five million times as large as that of the typical family. The median American household had a net worth of just under $200,000 in 2022, the year with the most recent data available from the Federal Reserve. nyti.ms/4aL8sNH

It’s a pretty weird week when a guy who wants to be a trillionaire is simultaneously getting headlines for the economy-shattering IPO expected Friday and the racist pogroms he is accused of stoking — but these stories are viewed as separate and in no way connected or prescient of the future.

I lost my job, my kids have measles, and I can’t afford gas or steak. But at least now Achilles won’t be played by a trans actor in a movie I’m not going to see based on a book that I’ve never read.

When "homeless working adults with minor-aged children" becomes a distinct administrative category—not an anomaly, but a recognized population requiring its own eligibility framework—you know something is very, very broken in our society.
