A very serious Rural Politico once told me "Dems have to go to farmer meetings! We gotta be where the people are!" I was in fact in a farmer meeting at that very moment! So I live-texted him the meeting. They were complaining that they want indentured workers that they don't have to pay or feed.

There would be more pushback if folks left of center were more serious about outreach. But folks aren't despite the fact that our system does give disproportionate power to rural areas. But instead of taking that as the rules of the game as it exists, and actually organizing, we complain about it.

I don't know how many different ways I can say "CENTCOM happily going to war with their eternal mortal nemesis and SOCOM SOCOMing does not mean DoD has any institutional interest in at all being involved in pointing guns at americans trying to vote"

By using lethal means to stop narco vessels in SOUTHCOM, the U.S. has completely ruined its ability to hold the high ground when Iran does the same in Hormuz. We view these artificial theaters as separate when they’re not. There’s no plan, let alone a strategy.

In conclusion.......Why do you guys think I'm on here all the time talking about how farmers & farm workers are different? And how knowing that, & how rural power functions, is kinda key to having the US function as a democracy? It's because we have a mighty need!
