Under Trump, protected wild horses are going to slaughter. A legal loophole allows the government to sell mustangs on the cheap, stripping them of protections and clearing their path to destruction.

For those of you following along in Bartz v. Anthropic, I gave some guidance as to when we might see money, and said in that guidance that it all depended on whether there was an appeal. Semi-bad news: there is an appeal. Want to know who is appealing? Do you, do you?

The idea that some lives matter less is the root of all that is wrong with the world.

Today’s Civics Lesson Dr. Fauci honoring a congressional subpoena and then taking the Fifth Amendment: an example of someone respecting both Congress and the Constitution. Jim Jordan ignoring a congressional subpoena: an example of someone showing contempt for Congress. Lesson over.

One of most heartbreaking things about Hank Green turning to LLMs is that he gets to do science communication full-time to a massive audience and is well-resourced. He doesn't need to cut corners or outsource his thinking. Meanwhile, there are so many people doing amazing work with zero resources.

Kamala Harris: I know this is going to be controversial coming from me in particular, we need to revisit the electoral college. We need to revisit the point of expanding the court. We need to revisit, if they so want, statehood for Puerto Rico and D.C.
