There’s a rickety set of stairs at the end of the crosswalk that is more often than not blocked by people sitting on it smoking, then even if you go down it you have to cross the gravel lot and go around a weird barrier.
I kind of hate that Halifax built a new showpiece downtown park and, at the height of summer, is using much of it as car storage.
Newly released renders of Halifax's $180-million Windsor Street Exchange redevelopment, which moves into phase two of contruction today. Not much to be excited about in terms of sustainable mobility.
The pandemic also showed us how we can do things differently such as paying essential workers more and allowing people to work from home. We can make people’s lives better! Now those thing are rolled back. No wonder people are angry.

Neoliner Origin, the world's largest sail-powered cargo ship, is in Halifax Harbour today. The masts are tiltable, allowing the ship to pass beneath the Macdonald and MacKay bridges on the way to the Fairview Cove container terminal.
