you know, it still seems like it should be an even bigger issue that the president has been sending armed forces to kidnap and assault people in an ethnic cleansing campaign, with a specific geographic focus on regions that didn't vote for him in the last election

Rep. Massie: “Are you able to track who it was that obscured Les Wexner’s name as a co-conspirator?” Bondi: “Within 40 minutes, Wexner's name was added back.” Massie: “Within 40 minutes of me catching you red-handed.” Bondi: “This guy has Trump derangement syndrome. You're a failed politician.”

Marimar Martinez and her attorneys have begun today's press conference about the evidence in her case and a pending lawsuit. Her attorney, Chris Parente, starts by telling reporters that "this is a time when we just cannot trust the words of our federal officials."

Chicago's U.S. attorney's office has released evidence from the case against Marimar Martinez, pre-empting her press conference later today. It even released text messages it once claimed would "sully" a Border Patrol agents's rep. From @chicago.suntimes.com: chicago.suntimes.com/immigration/...

This is the aftermath of an ICE kidnapping a few blocks from my home in St. Paul—an hour ago. A quiet street full of broken glass and at least three wrecked cars. The target of the kidnapping was taken away by ambulance. He was on a stretcher and covered by a sheet, though a cop said he was alive.

the most important thing in 2028 is electing someone who is a true believer in the project of dismantling right-wing power. if you don't get that, then nothing else will matter very much.

I've seen refugee aid efforts defeat multi-year occupations by regional / national police forces who deployed 30x the amount of resources. Hell I've been part of that. It is *very* possible. ICE's budget has a limit. Make them use it. ICE's morale has a limit. Make them lose it.

A 23 year old larping as a journalist made a misleading and inaccurate YouTube video that the administration full of chronically online shitposters used to justify the “largest immigration operation ever” and now someone is dead

Today is one of those days where I’m struck anew by how *bad* the internet has gotten. It’s almost unusable. Clouds, apps, advertising — nothing is where it should be and it’s nigh impossible sometimes to do basic tasks online.

Bari Weiss is a particular type of character that can get too far in the good ol’ USA: the moderately clever sociopath who thinks they can bullshit their way through anything with wordy excuses. When reality crashes in on such a mediocre person, they have nowhere to go but self-victimization.

New Bari Weiss & CBS leadership note to staff— “…Americans say they do not trust the press…To win back their trust, we have to work hard.” “Sometimes it means telling unexpected stories…sometimes it means holding a piece about an important subject to make sure it is comprehensive and fair.”

If I’m understanding this correctly, X is owned by a white nationalist who pays poor people of color in developing countries to pretend to be working class white Americans to scare other white Americans into being afraid poor people of color from developing countries are going to ruin America?
