Many Doctor Who fans seem to think picking somebody funny (Ayoade the prime example) to be the next Doctor means they will be “eccentric” and “quirky.” Pertwee was quite serious and McCoy was pretty dark. All the straight actor Doctors have been eccentric and quirky. Thank you for your time.

How about...an adventurer in a time and space machine, who travels the universe picking up a companion or two along the way. He sees injustices and rights them.. Think Reacher..but brains instead of brawn Oh.. and it's science fiction..no magic rubbish
