Yeah, this is not some otherwise respectable professional who leans towards 'lab origin' as part of a passive elite consensus. Quay has written (and published!) pretty much every insane false CT on SARS-COV-2 origins you maybe have only heard in passing. Dude has dined at the lab leak buffet.

So, something that the media will sanewash as this story develops is Quay isn't just a lab origin proponent. He has for 5 years sold an endless stream of very specifically wrong and silly ideas on the topic. He's not right, but even if he was, that wouldn't excuse his fabrications along the way!

I’m not a “Europe is hopelessly poor” person nor a “GDP explains everything” person but tbh whenever I see someone complain that EVERYTHING in MODERN LIFE has gotten MONOTONICALLY WORSE there‘s a good chance they’re in the UK which has in fact been in and out of recession for 10 years

Wolf Blitzer: Why is Israel, another country, your red line right now, this is what your critics are saying, rather than a domestic issue that impacts Americans' everyday lives? John Fetterman, visibly confused throughout the entire interview: Yeah, absolutely.

Baseline: there's no evidence for it. You can reject it in the same sense you can reject the idea that someone poured water on the ground to make a puddle when you know it rained this morning, even though you didn't specifically see the rain make the puddle.

So so fucked up. We know that these people will be detained, potentially jailed for a long time (with all that entails in Myanmar), conscripted straight into the military, even if neither of those things happen... Myanmar isn't exactly safe. /sigh

This plane landed in Myanmar about three hours ago. This is the third ICE flight to Myanmar this year. Burmese deportees in 2025 were immediately sent to a torture facility next to the airport, according to Myanmar Now. Weeks later, not all of them had emerged.

A stock market is where shares in companies are bought and sold based on economic data such as “did the president say war words or peace words last night?” and “can you imagine a future where computers do all your work for you much better than you do would but you keep all the money?”

SARS-CoV-2 did not come from a lab. There is no evidence pointing to laboratory origins. There’s been a massive disinformation campaign to convince the public otherwise. It’s scary how effective that campaign has been.

The two realistic options for the clock are permanent standard time, or we shift time twice a year. That's it. On top of that, locales at the edge of a time zone could switch zones, and/or we can do something about winter work schedules.

I made a tool to explore how time zones, daylight saving time, and our schedules interact in the United States. One thing I hope will be clear is that the real enemy is our work schedule, not the clock. bioturbonick.github.io/DaylightExpl...
