Big move for DC Power FC as they acquire Mak Whitham on loan from Gotham FC for the 2026 fall sprint season. Whitham, who set the record for youngest debut in NWSL history, will look to gain playing time to develop with DC Power.

Salvadoran Heritage night has helped create an excellent vibe at Audi Field tonight. Not just full, but loud & attentive. Hopefully the Nashville penalty just now isn't a vibe-killer. Almost like connecting with the Salvadoran community is to DCU's immense benefit.

lmao this was very funny, and she's right, it's just a wild experience to have covered a player like her since her first minute as a pro. there's raw talent/all gas no brakes trin, trin spin trin, gold medal trin, and trin 2.0. there are probs a couple more trins too, and she's only 24. shit's wild.

In working through his question, @andre-carlisle.bsky.social said he didn't want to use the phrase "vintage Trin" and was cut off (in joking fashion) by Rodman: "WHY is everybody saying that? I'm 24, bro!"

Belaboring an earlier take of mine, but DC stand to potentially have an open U22 spot and a bit of cash and roster flexibility in the winter, even if they do land Subiabre (an offer has been reportedly made)

Also, #DCU currently is under the U22 Initiative roster profile, which allows for up to 2 DPs and 4 U22 Initiative players + $2m additional GAM. They can switch to a Designated Player profile, which would mean up to 3 DPs and 3 U22 players. Currently: DP - Baribo, Munteanu U22 - Clark, Ordaz

Excellent work by @joseumana.bsky.social and @jasondcsoccer.bsky.social for doing the legwork to get this math sorted, especially with the signings that #DCU have made this season. With the impending Nono signing, DC have 2 open international slots left.

Been trying to get this sorted for a little while, especially after comparing notes with @joseumana.bsky.social after Saturday's DCU win. Per DCU comms, the team has 8 international spots, of which 5 are occupied. Matti Peltola, João Peglow, & Kye Rowles at some point received green cards.

A final follow-up on this so we are all on the same page (thanks to Jason for helping brainstorm this): DCU has 8 international spots. 3 (for now) are open. Those occupying have come this year: Silvan Hefti, Andre Dozzell, Keisuke Kurokawa, Louis Munteanu (DP spot as well), and Nikola Markovic.

The second phase of DC United's roster rebuild is underway, which means a lot more travel for President of Soccer Ops. Erkut Sogut. “The plane is an office for me.” In my latest for @wtopnews.bsky.social, Sogut explains #DCU's recent summer moves & future plans for its roster.
