Blimps are so handy for signifying that a story is taking place in a parallel universe. You open a scene in iconic London but holy fuck is that a *blimp*? and you know you're in a parallel universe. Easiest shorthand ever. I think Fringe did it?

to me it's kinda wild that they had "modern AAAA video game" look and feel so figured out 21 years ago. to my eye the kinetic energy and composition of a third person big budget game has not changed from this in two decades.
