A really funny complaint about the Zohran discount grocery store idea is that non-poor people could use it when there’s a grocery store half a mile from my grocery store that has everything cost 20% more that rich people go to because they don’t want to shop with normal people.

Picked fresh tomatoes from the garden today, & we have leftover angel hair pasta. We also have mushrooms, an open bottle of white wine, green beans, garlic, spring onion, and a giant basil plant. Hubs went to grab chicken. That's chicken marsala for dinner & green beans sauteed w/ reduced tomato.
One of my greatest frustrations as a gardener is when I see a nearly perfect strawberry with one single small bite taken out of the tip. It's usually from squirrels or slugs 😔.

Our backyard and local wildlife mostly includes: some sort of burrowing critter that pulls lil' planties down into their burrows, raccoons, possums, and squirrels who bite, pick, and bury all sorts of delectables from my gardens.
Plants remain winning for air filtration! I just brought in starter trays of sorrel, red lettuce, and buttercrunch; two big basil plants; a lemongrass; and a large ginger. The air smells fresher immediately. Bring in some plants, if you got 'em!

Your kid missing school for a while isn’t probably why they’re in pain, but living in a decaying country on a dying planet just fucking might be.
My experience is of every American COVID-19 mitigation effort being obviously insufficient, and ended far too soon. To see people now argue that they somehow were too much, going too far? Not anti-vax or MAGA people, but folks just out here on Bluesky? It staggers me.
if you are ignoring a minority saying they desperately need your solidarity because “the government says you don’t have to anymore,” it is unlikely that you’re on the right side of the issue.
If you believe this, and I hope you do, there is nothing stopping you from continuing to protect your vulnerable neighbors by wearing masks in crowded and indoor spaces, especially necessary spaces like healthcare facilities, grocery stores, and public transportation. Absolutely nothing.

That is a prime reason why so many powerful people want us to run screaming away from them into the comforting arms of selfish individualist competition.
