It’s hard to explain but tv was better when you couldn’t watch the show you wanted whenever you wanted to watch it and most of the shows were worse and the TVs were worse and the entire experience was worse, that’s when it was better

Our buddy @bjcolangelo.bsky.social needs a little help from her friends (and I'm a bully). BJ needs what is, essentially, a full mouth replacement thanks to cancer radiation. We can't eliminate the dental trauma, but we can help with the life-altering debt. www.gofundme.com/f/bj-needs-a...

I still say if you must do a reboot of Escape from New York you flip it. Manhattan is fully a gated community for the rich now. Someone hires a mercenary to spirit away a relative from an abusive partner. And the chase is on to survive the night against several private security details.

Today, THE BURNING celebrates its 45th anniversary. Obviously the Weinstein connection sucks, but it’s a movie I like more and more every time I give it a rewatch and Savini’s work rules. from-the-desk-of-the-horror-chick.ghost.io/shear-terror... Shares and/or subs would be appreciated! Cheers!

Mattel hated Masters of the Universe (1987) so much, they pulled the plug on a sequel. But since Cannon already had all of the sets, locations, and costumes ready to go, they had to do something. So they made Cyborg with Jean Claude Van Damme. The bad guy is even wearing Blade's chainmail shirt.

What's your "He actually broke his toe here" thing? The factoid you can't help but share whenever it comes up. For me, it's how the punk on the bus in Star Trek IV actually wrote and recorded the song that he's playing because he was annoyed the original song they had didn't sound punk at all.

38 days until the new MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE movie! But more than that, today is officially "Masters of the Universe Day". It was declared in 1987 in Los Angeles to celebrate the Power Tour, an absolutely batshit live theatrical experience I wish I could've seen.
