ER doc. Okay at reading ECGs Proud to have helped eliminate "excited delirium" in EM. Aiming to correctly use the subjunctive in Spanish more often. And I am never, ever sick at sea.

I had to code and pronounce a time of death on a respiratory therapist colleague. There's a memorial plaque for her outside the emergency department to this day. I wrote and re-wrote my will. I will never forgive these ghouls trying to rewrite history and deny our experience.

RFK Jr said these words today on national television "There were ICUs that were empty all over the country including in New York at the height (of the pandemic)" hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha You are a fucking idiot hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha <sobs silently>

Let’s unpack this post by NIH and CDC Director and self-made victim Jay Bhattacharya. 1. This was not misreporting. This is what RFK Jr. said in his interview. 2. Free speech was not “suspended”. If it had been no one would know who Bhattacharya is.

Screenshot of Bhattacharya’s Twitter post that says This misreporting by @politico gets to the heart of the covid response disaster. If governments had not suspended free speech, and the media not abetted devastating takedowns of scientists for the crime of contradicting government scientists, so much harm could have been avoided.

I posted about hiring over on LinkedIn, and I don't know who this guy is, what he's getting at, or if he's taking a dig at some very talented colleagues of mine or *my husband*. No, you don't need one. But what does help is not being a jerk.

I'm often haunted by the fact that, in 2020, we bought our house from a loving family who had made the difficult decision to move their parents into memory care and sell the family home. About two months later, both parents died of COVID.

I lived NEAR a city and the ambulances ran past the main road constantly. RFK would have you believe that those ambulances were empty, and also that every ER doc and nurse across the country is simultaneously lying, and only he can tell you the truth.

from the big speakers there, we caught, "Tú me tienes temblando de día," and in unison, the oldest child and I belted out, "TÚ ME HICISTE BRUJERÍA." And I felt then that I had raised him right, and it was a joy to be together with all of them in one place, a rarer and rarer occasion.

It was the most intense period of my professional life. We went into it with so many unknowns. My medical spouse and I both went into our respective shifts despite the terrible stories that had come out of Italy. Flying almost blind with regard to what we were doing, relying on Twitter anecdotes..

I agree with @drsandman11.medsky.social: If you didn't look like this & doing everything you can to prevent people from dying during the pandemic, maybe think twice before judging Dr. Fauci.
