The delusion that a HS boys basketball team could beat a WNBA team is shockingly pervasive. Years ago, a friend’s coworker claimed he could beat a newly-drafted Angel Reese because he played high school ball. “I can dunk, she can’t.” They asked him to prove he still could. He gave up after 3 tries.
