Good news! Global sales of electric cars rose by over 25% last year. BUT... a not so rosy picture for carmakers selling BEVs in Europe where the market stagnated - in the absence of an EU target to meet in 2024. It's clear that delaying the EU's CO2 rules would weaken our global competitiveness.

NEW from me: China's CO2 emissions fell ~1.6% in the first quarter and have now been flat or down for more than a year. This is the first time on record that emissions are falling due to clean energy growth, not slow power demand.
