it's that plus a pretty large amount of "we cannot let these people into politics" - even where a muslim candidate tries to avoid the issue (mamdani) it's all israel all the time whenever one of us runs. you'd think they'd see it but i genuinely think a lot of them dont

liberals really need to understand this. to the average american the democracy we're constantly being told is at risk hasn't produced anything good for them in a generation it's produced an economy that doesn't work or make anything real and massive income inequality and climate disasters.
