“I learned what asylum was when I was 9 years old… I learned that if a boat of children arrive on your shores and you send them back to their deaths, that is an evil act. The reason we have asylum is because we tried the alternative, and the result was evil.”

1/ Your friend is facing a terminal diagnosis and you want to show you care? Here’s how to text them: “Hey, [friend], thinking about you today. I remembered that specific, funny, brief anecdote from [year] when we did that crazy thing. I’ll never forget the expression on your face! Love you.”

I don't have kids, but if the president of my college-aged niece's university ran over her foot because she asked him a question, I'd be showing up outside his office in this

Tech companies are racing to force AI into every part of our lives before the courts can enforce our copyright laws. I am running for Congress to regulate AI companies before they become too big to fail.

More details on the firing of the National Science Board. The NSF now has no director, deputy director, or board. They have issued almost no new awards in 2026. The plan appears to be to completely destroyed the agency. The details are horrifying and have Russ Vought written all over them.

Board Ouster Raises Further Concerns About NSF’s Future

If we organize around candidates of courage and conviction, we can take down this criminal conspiracy. We can prosecute the corruption. We can put the criminals in jail. We can seize their ill-gotten loot. Political violence is bad, and it can't do any of that.

I'm gonna get this out of my system so I don't go insane: What Trump said about the pope is easily the most genuinely anti-Catholic thing any American politician has ever said in my entire lifetime, and if Obama or Biden had said it, there would literally be calls to disband the Democratic Party.

The sickest burn I was ever subject to was when I was trying to buy an overcoat at some shop in The Hague. I put one on, thinking it looked pretty nice. My wife looked me up and down and said “you look like a magician.” Seeing my offended look without missing a beat she said “sorry, illusionist.”

The Buffalo Medical Examiner rules that the death of a legally blind elderly Burmese refugee dropped off by Border Patrol at a closed shop late at night in winter was a homicide. He died of a burst ulcer caused by severe stress brought on by dehydration and hypothermia.

If you have federal student debt, you may have recently received an email from the Department of Education telling student debtors who are in the SAVE forbearance to switch plans. We want to encourage you to not rush this next step. Take a deep breath. You have until September.

Honestly, the great crisis of our society is the unwillingness of institutions to inflict consequences. Impeach the president, fire the sex pests, expel cheating students, excommunicate an unrepentant heretic, prosecute the war criminals. Believe in your institution enough to enforce its rules.

As a protestant, this feels strange to say, but the point at which an adult convert to Catholicism has been rebuked by two Popes in one year and then goes on to write a memoir called 'Communion' about his faith, they ought to bring excommunication back. This guy is evidently an unrepentant heretic.

Vice President JD Vance has a new book that will explore his religious faith and his conversion to Catholicism as an adult. “Communion: Finding My Way Back to Faith” will be out June 16.

I showed this graph in class yesterday on how measles cases in the United States plummeted dramatically after the vaccine was licensed in 1963. It’s not subtle and I could not resist observing: “This stunning design in measles cases was not thanks to vitamin A. It was not due to beef tallow.”

Walking thru the “Ultra Normie” No Kings rally in my extremely rural, white town and there are Patagonia wearing moms carrying signs that say “DEAD PEDOPHILES DONT REOFFEND” and “ICE GETS THE WALL” and I hi fived an old guy with a sign that said MY DADDY FOUGHT NAZIS AND SO WILL I” this is wild

One way to explain it to centrists is, instead of killing 100 innocent schoolchildren, what if they had used your tax dollars to feed those 100 kids steak without checking if they were poor? A bomb is like a really, really expensive steak. Maybe even worse.
