Fifteen years ago, in the classroom, wikipedia was annoying because it was hard to describe to kids who relied on it why it wasn't a good source to cite in a paper. Now, it's the final remaining example of citational responsibility any of them have ever seen.

You have the Great Unconformity in New York too, for instance on the flanks of the Adirondack massif. Not sure how well exposed it is, but there's a similar magnitude discrepancy between the ages of the Mesoproterozoic anorthosites there and the overlaying Cambrian sandstones. ⚒️

I love that the reasons range from short and "expected." "Fuck AI" and such. To longer, more detailed reasonings that may even take rhetorical stances that try to "understand" AI and come up short. See Blue Bottle Games and D-CELL Games. But all end up in the same place. Say no to AI.

Astonishing. RFK Jr. adds 8 members to a 6 member FDA advisory panel. 6 of them were sellers of peptides, and the 7th a compounding pharmacist. In an 8-6 vote with all 8 votes coming from these new panel members, the panel approved 4 peptides against the objections of FDA scientists.

Trying to fill out this survey without accidentally appearing to endorse the expansion is a genuine challenge. There's push polling and then there's weird public opinion puzzle games.
