I like dogs. I like the Tube. I like dogs on the Tube. Tonight all 3 took a hit because someone apparently let their dog poo on a seat and then left it. The journey home stunk to high heaven.
I recall we had a period of time where the response of Starmer and Cooper to concerns about these groups was ‘I like flags’
Leaders of flag-raising group Raise the Colours Oxfordshire placed trackers on highway workers’ cars to find out their home addresses, the High Court has heard. RTC then attempted to intimidate the highway staff into no longer removing flags by repeating their addresses to them.

Spent my morning getting some quotes for the fence post repair I now need, courtesy of an Amazon van driver. If the damage is under £100 then they’ll settle for a voucher. If it is over £100 or you want cash then it goes to their loss adjuster. Having looked on line the adjuster rejects most claims.
Right. Spent my morning day jobbing and while I wait to see if anything further is needed today I shall run some errands and may even clean the kitchen now that I have finally defeated the ants nest that plagued me for almost 6 weeks.
In all the discussions of the latest AI author scandal, I haven't seen enough focus on the ethics of feeding an author's manuscript into AI detection software (just one mention from one anonymous editor). YOU ARE FEEDING THE MONSTER!
Listen up, everyone. There are gay books in Paisley right now. This is not a drill. Gay books. In Paisley. Right now.
What up, gays, come get your gay books at The Unseelie Gathering in Paisley RIGHT NOW OMG
Just over a decade after Elephant and Castle's Heygate estate was demolished, Brutalist buildings have become some of the most in-demand places to live in London. So what did we lose when we lost Tim Tinker's concrete behemoth? www.the-londoner.co.uk/londons-lost...
Little by little, a picture is emerging – one that shows how Reform UK has been funded and by whom. Each new detail raises more questions for Farage and the coterie around him.
The tangled financial web at the heart of Reform UK
Nigel Farage’s £5m gift, the Cottrell family’s links and donations, and Richard Tice’s business dealings form part of an increasingly clear nexus of relationships

Ofcom and BBC, correct the record: Thames Water CEO misled the public about public ownership. Too many journalists amplify water industry PR. Please follow the advice in this link and lodge your complaint.

This week has been mostly awful but I saw some good friends yesterday and today I finally took the step to get solar panels and a battery installed. I’ve been wanting to do it for ages and it feels good to put it into effect.
We have great newts to share! Twenty tiny Mazama newts have hatched in our lab — the very first babies of their kind ever in human care.
Saw a Waymo defeated by horse shit from the Household Cavalry on South Carriage Drive. Every pile it approached it would slam on the brakes thinking it was an emergency, and proceeded to do this a dozen times down the road.
I get a little annoyed by the coverage of the proposed sell-off of the World Cup. They’re not just planning to sell it off. They’re planning to sell it off *to the Trump family*. That should be up front and central.
Guy came to service my wood burner and we got to talking about how I had foxes camped in my garden last summer. Told him I had barely seen any this year only for a very scruffy fox to promptly come up to the back door and stare in at us.

I am feeling very frayed today. Not having a good one at all as everything seems to be going wrong at the same time (nothing major but when you are under a lot of stress and a lot of small things go wrong at the same time it becomes overwhelming).
Ok so this lady says solar panels are getting built on "the most productive farmland" in her area. Which just ain't true at all. It ain't true here in NC either. Where I ALSO hear that talking point over & over again. Smells like astroturf! So let's get the dirt on solar farms & dirt ✨
I genuinely don't know what to do about this. In our diseased information environment, one MAGA-adjacent "influencer" can do more to shape public opinion than mountains of studies or facts. Where are the pro-clean-energy influencers to counter this shit?
