Los Angeles is in the worst housing crisis in our city’s history. We cannot solve that crisis unless we build. That’s why I’m proud to have earned the endorsement of the Western States Carpenters. Together, we’re going to make it easier to build the homes Angelenos need.
Feels good to be back on the LADOT DASH downtown circulator bus today. Smooth ride in a BYD 30’ electric coach assembled in CA 🚌 I used to take the DASH frequently between Public Works and City Hall

Would you be willing to pay more for renewable electricity? Most Californians say "no" — a useful data point but also a frustrating false dichotomy. I talked to the influential pollster behind a new survey getting a lot of attention: www.climatecoloredgoggles.com/p/renewable-...

My six year old and my spouse just got back from taking a bike ride to Culver City. About 6 miles there and then the E Line back. Reminder that kids can cover tons of ground on bikes if we make it safe for them.
I have a story like this. I was coming home just after 9pm in the Fig bike lane pass Crypto. I pass a guy on a skateboard. I ask if he wants a lift. He grabs onto the GSD monkey bars and I towed him for a few blocks. He told me about how he was studying to be a chef and worked in a kitchen. 1/

The mayor's office failed in their emergency response to the Lineage fire and the people who are paying the costs are Angelenos. Although the fire is out, the crisis is not.
Taking the team on a little field trip on the D Line today from our office in the Hall of Administration to LACMA. Such an easy ride— and it’s faster than driving!
E-bikes are so liberating. All the convenience of a car in mobility + all the convenience of a bike in parking and access.

There are very few programs in Los Angeles that are this broadly loved, this successful, and this cost-effective. We should be working toward having a CicLAvia every week—not wondering if we'll have one at all. How you can help today:
Instead of letting one of Metro's most successful programs wither, we should be expanding it. With the Olympics approaching, we should be showcasing Los Angeles—not scaling back one of the things that makes our city special.

If we want to stop this pollution, we have to curb the carbon pollution that's driving it. That's the pollution that's driving the heat and fires, and so much else. No more #climatehushing.
Around 100 million people could experience unhealthy air as wildfire smoke blows into the Midwest, Northeast and Mid-Atlantic this week. Wildfire smoke contains toxic gases and particulates that can affect human health. Here's how to protect yourself:

Good article. My critique is that it doesn’t focus enough on the agency the Big Three have to lobby on and shape federal policy. They constantly push back on federal regulations that would help the US keep pace on EVs with the rest of the world.
