I write about ugly hope, messy survival, & radical queer love. Queer story ghost 🏳️‍🌈👻 Disabled. auDHD. Polyam. 32. My work: www.linktr.ee/casperfalls Micro fiction: https://stitchesmicrofiction.substack.com

I can’t tell if my WIP is an ADHD trap or treasure cove, but apparently I can’t write a walking library dude (literally) without researching something every two sentences. Today: Ural Mountains, Arctic insects, types of trains, Trans Siberian Railway, types of snow, the ballet “Giselle”. #amwriting

The attitude that there are people whose suffering is fine has seriously gained traction in the last year and from what I've seen of it, my criticisms of that attitude are really valid. Either everyone means everyone or you're just recreating the same harmful dynamics on repeat.

The portal opens tomorrow… are you ready? We want horror stories up to 6,000 words, including flash. Originals and reprints. We pay $0.08 per word. Simultaneous submissions are accepted so long as you keep us informed. More details on our website (below).

If I could just mint a new tradition, it'd be this: When you turned 18, it'd be a rite of passage to declare your new name, and your childhood name normally became your middle name. And then any time as an adult that you want to make a symbolic new beginning you just take a new name.

Long shot, but I hope it's fair. I'm looking to trade sensitivity readings. I am trans, nonbinary, fat, polyamorous, aroace, and research trans issues in pop culture. Looking for a sensitivity reading for an Ethiopian American character in a queer fantasy novel. Glad to provide more information.

Here at the end of Disability Pride Month, I say: not just disability pride. Also disability wrath, disability grief, disability defiance. And moreover: disability ease, disability safety, disability leadership, disability joy, disability creativity, disability liberation, and disability justice.

You gotta love that I can watch two whole documentaries about a gay icon only to find out about his 13-year-long relationship with his assistant who was with him till he died and then dedicated his life to what killed him from Wikipedia 😑 Thank you, Straights.

Okay. Leftists and liberals both. It’s the end of Disability Pride Month, which means it’s high time you learned something. A deeply problematic expression I saw just this morning: “this is why forced sterilization should be allowed”—comes out of people on “our” side way too often. Let’s talk.

Every year, my brain picks one horrifically sad song and goes “That’s my happy relaxation tune!” and then I play it on repeat, scaring algorithms and people alike 😄 Last year, it was Mack Lorén’s cover of Let Down. Now it’s Tom Odell’s Black Friday.

This isn't *just* the fault of AI- AI has become popular in part bc of the concept of "talent". "Talented" implies effortless, magic, innate ability. If you're not born with it, you're fucked- so of course you need AI Art is a *skill*. Skills require practice. Normalizing "talent" *led to* AI.

My nieces and nephews could not comprehend how I could draw, how I was drawing something right in front of them. This sucks.

It's berry season and you have the tiniest friends. These critically endangered babies are Egyptian tortoises that hatched on July 4 and 6, 2026. Currently, our Egyptian tortoises are living behind the scenes in a warm and cozy habitat with lots of attention from their dedicated animal keepers.
