Smithereens is such an unserious measure of just how blown up something is. Your family is going to have to attend several dozen tiny funerals for you and they're describing your corpse like it's something you'd sprinkle on ice-cream. Talking like I died in a Play-Doh fun factory. Grow up.
I refuse to accept self driving cars until they can make printers that work.

US university hires world-renowned Israeli genocide expert to lead Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies and then fires him when he says that Israel is committing genocide.
The University of Minnesota withdrew an offer from Raz Segal to lead its Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies after an organized campaign against his hiring
‘“The best way I can describe it is it looked like a Studio Ghibli movie,” Correa said. “It was their boat, and they were all out and about roaming around on it.”‘
The Tacoma Police Department estimates over 30 cats were free-roaming on board a deserted watercraft Thursday - with no sign of the owner.
I think this Op-Ed by Clifford Carl Cawthon captures a lot of the anger that many people in Seattle felt, watching the Bite of Seattle shooting become completely centered around this unremarkable, absentee police chief www.theurbanist.org/op-ed-police...

Finally watched The Wolf House. Encanto. But make it Skinamarink. By way of the Big Bad Wolf & 3 Little Pigs. Brilliant animation with painful attention to detail. I would love to watch a documentary on how this was made and how the scenary details were decided.
𝐄𝐯𝐢𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐝: 𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐧 didn't even last a month in theaters. Damn. I missed it. Was planning to go on Tuesday or Wednesday next week. Guess it was bad, then? 🤷♂️
It’s important to understand that when 1.2 million Americans are dying from a disease, any government action is excessive and tyrannical, but if a dozen trans women want to play soccer no government action can go far enough
"Bluesky is a political echo chamber" okay but I'm mostly here to chat with fun internet people and post art and make jokes, I cannot stress how much I don't care
Nor do we want to be on Truth Social. I would hate to find a welcome home there. I would hate to be somebody who would be palatable to such a place. We don't go on Truth, because nobody needs bullies. They *do* try to come on Bluesky, because bullies need the rest of us.
The burden is always on us lefties to welcome them, debate them, compromise with them, find middle ground, and generally make them comfortable. It’s totally one directional. No one is calling for Truth Social to make any room for us.
Am I trapped in a simulation? I thought Gervais makes transphobic jokes and is down with the suffering in Palestine?
Per usual, hard pass on that stain of a person.
Name your fav use of licensed music in a soundtrack. Besides these two, I'd close out my top 3 with Jordan Peele's use of "Sunglasses at Night" in Nope.
The first thing that comes to mind for me is the haunting way they used All Along the Watchtower in Battlestar Galactica. Gods and Monsters also rocked in American Horror Story.
Like, I am truly not concerned about whether he personally considers himself to be transphobic. He materially directed harm at a trans woman with a much smaller following. That in and of itself sucks and seems easy to consider.
Damn... 300% higher yields for peppers 200% for tomatoes. 65% lower water use for jalapenos. #agsky #agrivoltaics ,🌱🌞🔌..

NEW: Israel has imprisoned an American teen. Soldiers raided Adam's West Bank home right before his sister’s grad party. They ignored his US passport. As they took him, they blew kisses at his mom. Adam is now the second American in Israeli prison. Trump just hosted Netanyahu for the eighth time.

TIL before Hadestown hit Broadway, Hermes was performed by Chris Sullivan—the guy who played Benny in Season 1 of Stranger Things. He sounds great on the 2017 cast highlight album. Never would've pegged him with that earthy, gravelly, Americana-rootsy folk and blues style he delivers his lines with.
I wouldn't have been able to handle seeing Dónal Finn and Christopher Short on stage together. 🥵 Christopher is my favorite Worker from the pro shot film in the theatre right now and just found out he went on to play Hades last year. Pretty cool. The musical with British accents throws me, though.
