Over on X, the “rigged election” crowd is pushing rumors around a video livestream clip of election workers, working late at night, allegedly doing something nefarious. Maricopa officials have explained that the workers are just… doing their jobs. But rumors around the video continue to swirl.

X Posts about the Maricopa Late-Night Video, Oct 9–11, 2026.” The x-axis is time (local) from midday Oct 9 to mid-morning Oct 11. The y-axis is the cumulative number of posts, including reposts, from 0 to 35,000. A black line shows the running total. It is flat until mid-afternoon Oct 9, then rises sharply that evening to about 5,000. It climbs slowly overnight, then steeply through Oct 10 to about 28,000 by that evening. It levels off overnight and rises again on the morning of Oct 11, ending near 36,000.

365 individual posts are plotted on the line at the time they were posted, sized by repost count. A legend identifies 80 original posts as blue circles, 220 reposts as green triangles and 65 quote posts as orange squares. The largest markers are early: a large original post in the afternoon of Oct 9, a very large quote post around 6:30 PM Oct 9 at the start of the first surge, and another large quote post around 9 AM Oct 10 early in the second. Reposts are spread along the whole curve.

People are discussing how Halloween candy is so terrible these days. A reminder that alot of the candy we eat is made with women’s prison labor. Russell Stover’s factory in Kansas busses in 150 women a day via a convict leasing program to staff their candy factory.

Russell Stover has begun using prison labor to make candy in
Kansas
A Russell Stover candy factory in Kansas has begun hiring incarcerated workers through a work release program, Eoin Higgins reports in his newsletter, The Flashpoint. About 150 women are bussed in from the Topeka Correctional Facility and paid $14 an hour, but the prison keeps some of their wages for room and board, taxes, transportation, and other expenses. When all is said and done, they take home less than $6 per hour. These deductions are high, but elsewhere in the country, they're even higher: In our May series on prison

holy shit!! artists!!! you guys!! pinlite.app someone made a pinterest facade site that just strips away all the dumb bullshit and gives you only the images this is AMAAZINNNGGGG. Not to mention the web 1.0 grey and blue link vibe lol

screenshot of PinLite, a skin of pinterest that's just taken away all the bs and only shows the images, on a grey web 1.0 background

when you struggle to pay your rent because you get paid fuck all in wages, cans of soup are $8, your neighbours get put in labour camps, kids can't read because schools are defunded and books are all banned, know that at least israel and russia can mercilessly commit war crimes on that dime yay

Trump wants to impose on us his newspeak by force. It is very much Orwellian newspeak that flattens and oversimplifies concepts. Science uses steps to describe the future of artificial intelligence: ANI, AGI and the last step ASI: Artificial Super Intelligence. Trump’s SI flattens the hierarchy.

The Lichtenstein conversation throws everything about AI into sharp focus, as far as people wanting the respect of people who do art but not understanding that basically brutally making halfass copies of original stuff isn’t the way to do that.

I've seen people try to rehabilitate roy Lichtenstein among cartoonists. "he brought us into the mainstream" "he made us matter" fuck you. he stole and he profited and he left us in the goddamned dust and so did everybody who forgave him

the Vice President of the United States has gone on record citing this man as one of his biggest intellectual influences if you didn't know this, it's probably because for some reason literally no mainstream political media outlets think it's worth mentioning

Arizona and Virginia, both of which are governed by Democrats, are ending Medicaid coverage of care for trans youth, Transitics has learned. The bans, which go into effect on October 13th, mark the most significant Democratic capitulation to Trump's anti-trans demands yet. Cowards.

Democrat-led Arizona, Virginia Quietly End Medicaid Coverage of Care for Trans Youth, Acquiescing to Trump Demands

The policy changes, which go into effect on October 13th, see Arizona and Virginia join Kansas as states where Democrats have needlessly opted to restrict Medicaid coverage of gender-affirming care.
