I don’t want to be followed by men that just want to be creepy in women’s mentions. I’m a human person that just wants to post some bullshit on this app. Leave me the fuck alone.

Disappointed at the level of vitriol on here directed at local business man Jabba the Hutt, who died this week. Yes he was an often complex individual, but he was also a job creator and great lover of animals capable of moments of real warmth.

I got taught to read on a set of about 12 books from (I assume) the 70s about a boy called Bill. He had a dog called Max. I have never been able to find any information about this series anywhere.

the mainstream press praising rod liddle in death are not unaware he was a bigoted pedophile, they like him for it. the people in their in-group, at the top of their hierarchy, getting away with crimes signals that the world is in order. it is a moral good, to them. the bigger the crimes the better

look, if fear of having everyone on the internet celebrate your death by bringing up every bad thing you’ve done is what it takes to stop people being cunts while they’re alive, i say let’s give it a go

I think there’s a couple of things to this. One is about too much choice making you feel less happy about your choice. The idea of curation too, to an extent - tv scheduling or even specific channels (mtv) meant someone was making decisions about what to show when…

It’s hard to explain but tv was better when you couldn’t watch the show you wanted whenever you wanted to watch it and most of the shows were worse and the TVs were worse and the entire experience was worse, that’s when it was better
