All authors love libraries. All authors want to see their books in libraries. Don't ever feel bad for using a library. You just made every author everywhere very, very happy. Also, request our books in libraries if they aren't there! Be the book change you want to see in the library! ;)

Someone said to me, "I'm sorry but I got your book from a library." Nobody should ever apologise for that. You read my book! That's brilliant! I grew up hanging out in libraries and the idea of a world without them fills me with dread. Without libraries, authors, like readers, will only suffer.

Good things on this Sunday: * an amazing cup of tea * getting my hair cut today [finally] * rainy, overcast day * slept through the night again * finally recovering from big week of book fair/BTS concert, both of which were great but too close together for my poor body Please share yours?

Re last RP - something I’ve been thinking about recently is the reverse: international ARMYs often miss things BTS have done that were actually major moments of standing up for what is right because we have grown up in freer countries and are not seeing it in the context of South Korean politics.

“Sousa, I believe they can do better. If you can’t, it’s okay. I’ll believe for you. I’ve seen a lot of awful things in my time on this planet, but I have never, not once, thought that anyone was beyond saving.” She thumped the bass drum to emphasize her next words. “I’m not going to start now.”

Can I just have ONE WEEK where something that makes me happy in this increasingly horrible timeline isn't fucked up, corrupted, or revealed to be deeply disappointing? This isn't just one thing. It's come from multiple places & has caught me off guard every time. Bad time to be an optimist I guess.
