I appreciate that Dolly Parton refused to participate in "dress respectability" and, by her own account, modeled her aesthetic after a town "tramp," who she thought was beautiful. She separated aesthetics from character and understood "classiness" to be about how you treat people, not how you dress.
At 100 mil an episode for 56 episodes? That's obscene. And the kinda budget that makes shows VFX first, story second. BUT if I had money to make a show, it'd be my soapy, horny figure skating drama that I almost sold to Paramount. It's my favorite pilot ever and the show was crystal clear.

She loved her surgery cone for the first couple days (it made her feel powerful and intimidating) so we got her a courted ruff to look sinister in.
A few years back, I was on a Netflix show with execs who understood that this was a problem. So they fought to green light a spin off and one off special, all designed to keep fan engagement up and the show in the public psyche. Every one of those execs were laid off or quit in frustration.

ICE actually took a step to reduce the likelihood officers kill someone—not enough, doesn’t address other problems, but a step in the right direction—and Trump intervened to reverse it. Killing innocent people isn’t a problem the White House seeks to avoid, it’s apparently a goal of their policy.
