In 2025, Miami Columbus won the "national championship" for high school basketball. That team featured Cam Boozer (No. 3 pick in this year's NBA draft), his brother Cayden (Duke), and four juniors that will all be on D1 rosters this coming season.

the best HS teams in the country have multiple guys who will be in the NBA in a couple of years. they aren't normal high schools, they're basketball factories. but this literally doesn't matter. the value of women's sports isn't contingent on their performance vis a vis men.

Didn’t watch the whole game, but took a break from schedule weekend bike maintenance to watch the last five minutes of the Lynx game. Happy to see them finish the Fever off, I’m really glad they’re our team.

I have received three political fundraising text messages this morning They all address my grandmother, who had a fairly uncommon name, and who died several years ago So annoying, but also what wires were even available to be crossed in some database to lead to this?

Huge shout out to the dudes who parked their motorcycles down by the river to take a video of one of them playing the accordion. What a way to spend a summer night.

Public works has reduced the driving space so much that you almost can't do anything but drive the speed limit past this elementary school. This is outrageous. It's like they have no concern for the people who left home 5 minutes late to drive their kids to school two towns over.

Cities dismantled their tram networks to become “motor cities of the future”. The result? You could travel further within 30 mins via public transport in 1957 than you can in 2026. Cities are seeking billions to rebuild networks. Incredible piece of work this.

If you stood on Briggate at 8am on a weekday in 1957, and stood there again in 2026, in which year could you reach more of the city in half an hour? Samuel Bancroft has crunched the numbers. Since the 1950s, Leeds has got bigger - but the city has effectively shrunk.

Cheryl Reeve, winningest coach in WNBA history, defends transgender athletes against sports bans. “Exclusion is never the answer. Separate isn’t equal. Trans lives matter.” 💗🏳️‍⚧️💗🏀💗

Cleaning out the basement and my wife just shared a photo album of paint can labels, in case you were wondering what sort of stuff was going down over here today.

They come in three varieties: Daily Beast headline (“Republicans are FREAKING OUT after Obama SLAPPED DOWN Trump”), fake poll (“are you for or against waterboarding kittens?”), or friendly-desperate candidate email (“John Ossoff here, with bad financial news”). It’s Mad-Libbed crap for fools.

Barack Obama just inspired a House majority MIRACLE!
(Trump is FREAKING OUT!!)

DemocracyHQIt's Jon Ossoff. I have some bad news: I'm worried about my campaign's fundraising right now. We're pacing behind my fundraising goals.

The timing couldn't be worse. One of the most powerful, well-financed Super PACs announced they'll spend $44 million to try to defeat me. I'm facing an onslaught of Republican attacks and spending - and we just can't afford to come up short with the Senate majority on the line. You have been selected to help represent your area in a live tracking poll for today.

Please respond by 11:59 P.M. to have your answer counted.
