A. It's a small parking lot & usually full. B. The bike lane doesn't go to the school unless it was another block south. C. Most shoppers buy far more than an ebike carries, are elderly, or come a far distance. D. Literally the only beneficiaries are a small # of bikers. No one else in the community

Republicans who see Canada as an enemy has leapt up this year, similar to how Republicans’ approval of Putin shot up in 2016. Virtually no anti-Canada US constituency before this year, and virtually no pro-Putin constituency before 2016. Out of nowhere. Now millions say that’s their position.

It not being ready by opening day is the absolute worst, it’s not only there for the 20 days of the year that waste of space will be used, it’s to support growth and the future. What about the supposed sport plex? Don’t think having easy metro access will help support ops there?

Carver Langston resident, the fields at RFK user and friend to many in Kingman park. This is the right move, just because it’s zoned HF by right does not mean everything is max sized, but it gives the option and we need to be up zoning a lot more of DC.

Interesting: As a step towards the required zoning of the RFK site for the Commanders stadium development, @mayorbowser.dc.gov has proposed amending the city's Future Land Use Map to designate RFK for high-density residential and commercial development. (Like downtown, Navy Yard, NoMa.)

🤯 A car-free car racing event? Sounds impossible! In the Netherlands last weekend, nearly all of the 110,000 fans attending the #Formula1 #GrandPrix arrived by bike or public transit. Cars were practically banned. Ironic to say this: but it's a masterclass in sustainable mega-event planning.
