You could make this argument like, 20 years ago (although, I mean, who tf cares?) when we all had the same radio stations and TV channels blasted at us everywhere we went, but I'm 41 and listen mostly to podcasts and old high school playlists. It's very reasonable not to know this song.

Choosin Texas is a fine but forgettable song that features, if we are being honest, a not particularly strong vocal performance and the reason its popular is that it has a throwback vibe (steel guitars! authentic!) that capitalizes on the inexplicable trend of nostalgia for the late 70s - early 90s
