We found that as of right now 73% of your campaign donation goes back to the consultants and vendors (!!!), four times more than just 20 years ago. Only 13% to ads. Even I was shocked.

Where your $100 donation actually goes
Of every $100 raised by a Democratic fundraising text, $73 goes to consultants and vendors. Only $13 reaches voters as advertising — the most expensive dollar to raise in American politics.

A very important article which explains.exactly.wjy the modern Democratic Party is so feckless—they are paying consultants who tell them to be so, and are incentivized for said Dems to *lose* elections, so they can push for more fundraising, ad nauseum.

Just as a private equity firm buys out a corporation and strips it for parts, a consultant class is raiding the Democratic Party and getting “generationally wealthy” along the way New from me and @adambonica.bsky.social newrepublic.com/article/2163...

In any society with a moral center—especially any country that claimed to intersect with so-called Christian values—dismantling these disgraceful concentration camps should be the first top priority. Second, restitution for victims. Third, criminal charges and civil penalties for leadership.

The Dignity for Detained Immigrants Act would end the Trump administration's abuse of mandatory detention, stop the detention of children and families, and phase out private prisons profiting off human suffering. Tell your members of Congress to pass it now.

Laying it out, straight talk. Beautiful, and patriotic Everything Dr. El-Sayed says here would (very likely) be cheered by the founding fathers, and certainly by the original colonists who were being told they couldn't practice their versions of Christianity. Please get this man into Congress.

This is Tommy. Tommy had a question about my allegiances. Listen to the end to hear about his.

So we see how Anthropic values our lives and livelihoods. A release of an AI model is worth 49 lives. Or, $999,999,999. As long as it only kills that many or less (or destroys less than $1.0 Billion), it's fine. What a calculus. All so we can summarize our texts and companies can fire creatives.

Anthropic pitches draft of AI safety bill to lawmakers: “The bill would let the government block a model’s release or use only if it poses a foreseeable, imminent risk of more than $1 billion in damages, or of killing or seriously injuring more than 50 people.”

When you see all these corrupt, ridiculously unqualified and incompetent Trump officials in action, realize that it is only possible because Republicans have the majority in the senate and voted to confirm them. The only way to stop it is to take that majority away.

So if a liar lies constantly, Patrick Healy is arguing, NYT shouldn't point out all the lies, or its audience will think they're not impartial. That the word "lie" would lose its power. 🤯 Absolutely gives away the game here. It's more important for NYT to appear unbiased than to tell the truth.

🧵🧵🧵 The NY Times posted a 15-minute video today in which I got to tell NYT what’s wrong with its coverage. They said they saw my critical posts on Bluesky and invited me to do a video with them to air my grievances. Weird, right? I didn’t hold back. I blasted their sanewashing of MAGA extremism.

Just remembered how mad I was that BSG didn't end with the audience realising they were on our earth in the late 60s/early 70s which would have made perfect sense of why they were all hearing THAT song. And it would've been funny. Starbuck at Woodstock! Massive missed opportunity.
