Assume that anyone trying to drive a wedge between Democrats after the Michigan primary is a Republican op and act accordingly. Both Haley and Abdul are coming together to beat Rogers because they know a Democratic Senate majority is more important than factionalism, we need to do the same

Turns out voters don't like being bombarded with super PAC ads every time they turn on the TV! We might be entering an era where tens of millions of dollars in outside money is a liability more than an asset

Dr. Abdul El-Sayed won the Michigan Democratic Senate primary despite being massively outspent. Outside groups spent roughly $70 million backing his opponent, compared with about $3 million supporting El-Sayed.

NEW: Voters have rejected Republicans' scheme to unseat the Kansas Supreme Court's Dem-appointed majority and overturn abortion rights. Amendment 1 would have let the GOP replace the system of a nominating commission, gubernatorial appointment, and retention elections with direct partisan elections

Despicable! Someone cut down Peter Thiel’s Flock camera scanning the license plate of every car that enters the park. I bet the vandals used a Sawzall with a $30 diamond tipped blade, and that the good-for-nothing brigands even did it while keeping their phone at home so they couldn’t be tracked

A Flock camera face down in the grass after some brigand sawed the pole in half Close-up photo of the pole sawed in half by some despicable vandal who cut it 90 percent before pushing it the rest of the way

Mullin's being as brutal as possible in implementing Trump's mass deportation agenda. But his admission that some immigrants play a productive role in society has provoked an outcry in MAGA ranks, where portraying immigrants as anything other than a noxious drain on the society is impermissible.

Don't miss this vile story: MAGA is raging at DHS chief Markwayne Mullin for admitting migrant farmworkers can beneft our economy. This means his devotion to ethnic cleansing is in doubt. He must be excommunicated! I wrote about the collapse of MAGA mythology here: newrepublic.com/article/2138...

"...it neatly exposes MAGA’s real position: Mass deportations must be carried out even if they hurt the economy." If you force MAGA to choose between the economy and white supremacy, they're choosing the latter every single damn time, and they'll somehow still get portrayed as "pocketbook voters."

MAGA is raging at DHS Sec Markwayne Mullin for discussing immigration reform. But the real reason MAGA is so furious is he admitted immigration can be managed in a way that benefits our country. This is absolutely lethal to white nationalist ideology. New from me: newrepublic.com/article/2138...

Tidal playing a very dangerous game by increasing their price to $15 a month while Spotify is still $13. Spotify is an abjectly evil company but Tidal's product is vastly inferior. They're also now allowing AI "music" on their platform (but you can opt out! Oh boy!) so theyre slowly becoming Spotify

This got me to finally read the entire New Yorker article on the Tates and... yeah. I don't see how what they're doing is any different than what everyone has accused Jeffrey Epstein of doing. Except they're *more public* about admitting to what they're doing AND getting young men to join in.

David Roberts@volts.wtf · 4d ago

However horrible you think the Tate brothers are, I promise, it's worse than that. It's insane that Dems aren't making a bigger deal of the GOP embracing these grotesque monsters.

When I was small, my father held a knife to my mom’s throat as I screamed and scratched at his legs. Later she made dinner, because refusing to do so would have been worse. That was a few days before we left in the night, her bleeding, me silent. It was the worst night of my life. And the best.

Rep. Max Miller: "My former wife has claimed that during a custody exchange at my home that day, I assaulted her…If I had assaulted her, would she have offered to cook me dinner six days later?"

There are few things more satisfying than coming back in the endgame to win by checkmate, especially against an opponent who plays scholar’s mate (which is for mark-ass busters). I had absolutely no reason to win this and was cooked just 5 moves in. All it takes is one blunder from your opponent!

White opens with scholar’s mate by moving the queen to H8 on the second moveBlack blunders their knight by moving their bishop to G4 and ignoring the checking threat from White’s knightWhite is significantly up material, and checks Black by moving the queen to F7, while being protected by the bishop on C4. Black’s position looks hopelessBlack wins by checkmate by moving its queen to D4, which is protected by the rook on D8
