Well that’s one. Gotta pack and head up and then I’ll tackle the second one.

genuinely one of the hardest things in the world because it is, actually, good if former trump supporters become disillusioned and move away from him and also I want to hook up the world's largest megaphone to yell WE TOLD YOU SO over and over
Also this is retroactive and we all knew this and told you over and over again but you didn’t listen and we are trying not to be mad at you so stop making it hard to do that
the orange man is bad and he does bad things and you should not have elected him and you should not elect people who support him
the midterms are just one grand exercise in the american electorate finally coming around to the single most accurate political axiom of the past decade: orange man bad
IT'S SO FUCKING STUPID AND AVOIDABLE WE DIDN'T HAVE TO DO THIS TO OURSELVES AND OTHERS
Trump accidently giving us dense, walkable cities
US Energy Secretary says Americans need to drive less to achieve lower gas prices.
"nobody could have survived that" wrong Reacher can survive that, because he is bigger than other men
And these gauntlets are ready for sewing. Which is good because they need to be delivered by Friday Morning. I had ripped their old gloves off and tailored new gloves tot he customer and had to rebuild all the fingers a little and the pinkies entirely.
Doesn’t necessarily show well, but I made this liner for a maille standard and a trauma plate to go on it. All together you can see how it lays. The liner protects the wearer’s skin from the maille, and the plate helps protect the throat from direct hits. Powdercoated for reduced maintenance.
wanting to talk to your friends is healthy, which is why i support getting more cocaine into our nation's schools.
Beer isn't addictive. It makes you more sociable and is a great way to spend time with friends. That's why I have eight of them a day: because I love talking to my friends so much
Here’s a breastplate & fauld I’ve returned to service. It needs a little more work and the leather cladding is just… doing too much and being weird, but it’s ready for the event this weekend. It probably needs a new fauld eventually but it might not be worth the effort. But there it is!
the nice thing about the absolute glut of good games out there is that when the person who runs a studio that makes a game says something dumb, evil, or both, you can just not buy that game and STILL have a bunch of good games to play

Dems stop nominating right-wing prosecutors to elected office challenge: impossible
Iowa Dem. Gov. candidate Rob Sand was confronted at a rally yesterday over anti-trans positions. A constituent asked if he would walk them back. He refused to, and in fact said he supported sports bans. Another constituent shouted "COWARD!" in the background. Subscribe to support our journalism.
The only correct take on these two. I mean we can fuss over his use of wealth and all that, but leaving it aside, “world’s greatest detective” is more interesting than “accidentally sent to a place that gives you super powers.” Always prefer heroes you could sort of see a way to being.
excuse me, Batman has always been cooler than Superman
Though I suppose I should be thanking all the supporting acts for dropping out because they're the ones actually using leverage. I'm just happy we're all going to have a Learning Moment together!
Politics-watchers have long been exasperated by those with leverage to make things better but who refuse to use that leverage, but my read has been the general public hasn't picked up on this particular problem. Thank you, Ed Sheeran, for your service in educating the normies.
that's a thought that occurred to me too. capitalism didn't just eat the world, it also ate itself. private sector entities became less efficient and less capable at doing anything. instead of hyper-intelligent ais and luxury resort space stations we got hallucinating chatbots and exploding rockets
you know what. it's been a while since i last read neuromancer. lets read together.

Confess your crimes to me
Ten years ago today was one of the coolest press trips I've ever done, lapping Iceland in an MX-5. I don't tend to do the slidy photos as frankly it's not something I can do repeatably well, but when you're given a gravel hairpin and scenery like this it'd be rude not to.
Ok but there’s a place in like…. I dunno. North of the Gold Coast that has good spam musubi and now I could go for that. I love their sign when you come in: “no poke, no pineapple. We don’t do that kind of Hawaiian.” I gotta look them up and drop in again.
Looking at photos I'm thinking maybe it's the center 50%.
I note that every time I note that young people generally prefer cultural things from their own era, and designed for them, some folks think that means I think they could/will never appreciate something older and/or I think nothing good happened before 15 or 20 years ago. This is, you know, stupid.
this is an incredible day if you hate sheeran for of his betrayal of folk in favor of sell-at-any-cost pop or if you hate him for his "i'm not political" bullshit or if you hate him for the stupidly sappy love songs or if you hate him for being played *everywhere* or if you just don't like gingers
Macklemore said Ed Sheeran’s “typical apolitical stance” was challenged as a result of demands from stadium owners, resulting in him being dropped from upcoming shows after he made pro-Palestine comments. Read more: https://wapo.st/4iuwyB9
I need younger generations to understand how weird it is that trump is such a unique terrible fuck up that it’s actually correct to blame the president for a demonstrably shittier economy and costs
As your next president I will ban Monday mornings. We start at 4 pm
In the absence of humans, a few critters have taken over the plant. Not to worry, they're totally qualified ;)
Feel like the advertising for visitors would be more effective if the Government were not actively arresting, detaining, and deporting visitors But I'm just a poor country lawyer, what do I know? bsky.app/profile/greg...
On our way back we noticed there is a tremendous amount of advertising from the US Department of Commerce (via "Brand USA" f/k/a the Corporation for Travel Promotion) trying to convince people to vacation in the USA Here are a couple we saw. There are many, many others
It's a false economy. A legion of diseased, charmless nerds with skull calipers who've piggybacked on the bottomless vanity of one 80 year old and his unique, non-replicable stranglehold on the American attention span. The clock is ticking.
Knocked out a couple sets of big tent stakes. These were 15” sections of 1/2” square bar, tapered and bent over to make stout anchors. I’m pleased with my consistency — it’s great practice at tapering, and the bending jig has worked a treat.
