Our VTT group finally met the current "big bad" this evening so I can share this, now. My spouse's creation, "The Supervisor", a scientist doing rather rational and completely legal experiments in a very unsettling way that the PCs don't like.

“this person is bad so their work was always bad” is also a really dangerous view to take because it leads to - unconscious or not - a bias towards “but I do like this other person’s work, ergo they must be a good person” which, as we have seen over and over, is simply not true

What happens a lot on social media is when someone (Warren Ellis, Neil Gaiman now Ed Brubaker) has allegations thrown at them people tend to leap out the woodwork saying "their work was never good." That helps no one as it's irrelevant. What matters is their actions and what they did.

It’s a shame, too, because PinkNews would publish stories that either didn’t make the mainstream or else published them before they really hit the mainstream. (E.g. it was from PinkNews that I first learned about the anti-gay purges committed in Chechnya).
