You can run the entire Windows 7 (32bit) Operating System in less memory than what the single web page "bsky.app" uses when running in a single Chrome browser tab. If you rendered BlueSky threads into PDF documents, those PDF documents would require less memory to display than what "bsky.app" uses.

So like… is "bsky.app" deliberately designed so that you must open individual posts each in a new tab? Because the UI is unusable otherwise. For ex. if you search for something & get 1000 posts, you scroll down & down & when you want to see a post in context, clicking on it nukes the search UI state

I can't just load a bunch of threads into a bunch of tab to read through later... because my poor four year old computer with 16GB (billion bytes) of RAM doesn't have enough fucking memory to load twenty threads on "bsky.app" which only contain a few KB... a few thousand bytes of fucking ASCII TEXT
