Is YOUR Child Secretly Texting About the Second Run of Columbo Episodes (89-03)? Look For These Acronyms: LOL: Looking Old, Lieutenant OMG: Oh…McGoohan’s Geriatric FFS: Featuring Fisher Stevens NSA: No!! Shatner Again?!

With Kody Clemens’ walk-off grand slam on Derek Shelton’s birthday, the Twins are the second team in MLB history with a walk-off grand slam on the manager’s birthday, joining: Jose Altuve on Dusty Baker’s 72nd birthday in 2021 (June 15) Birthdays are important @EliasSports

The Twins just won a 9-inning game in which they hit 5 GIDPs, a feat only accomplished 104 times. That's rarer than throwing a no-hitter! Only 11 teams have won a game with 6 GIDPs, most recently the Astros in 2018. Nobody has ever won with 7. (Stats provided by Michael Mountain)

I am pleased the Minnesota Twins won. I also think this game was not good for my health. C’mon guys, did you need to wait until the ninth? Did you need to hit into so many double plays? (Go Twins!!!)

This just happened: I was standing on a public thoroughfare (airport road in Hamlet) photographing the @amazon data center when the site manager approached me and said I could not take photos, citing “policy” 1/2

Renewable fuel refinery workers aren't covered by CA safety rules for petroleum refineries. But making biofuels is just as dangerous and nearly killed a man at the plant where workers have been striking to get more staff and safer working conditions, so another worker doesn't nearly burn to death.

Workers at a California biofuels refinery are walking around “basically intoxicated” because they’ve been sleep deprived from so much overtime, union reps say. They fear it’s just a matter of time before disaster strikes.

Forecasts of data center expansion have now taken up residence in crazytown. I wrote about a new forecast and some reasons to bet on the under. I don't discount the possibility that I'm failing to grasp the moment. But these numbers are nuts. insideclimatenews.org/news/2307202...

I feel like it's some kind of trick that the website formerly known as Twitter shows I have a bunch of DMs, but says I need to know a passcode (I never set one up) or get the app (I don't want to) to be able to see the messages. So, if you DM'd me on Twitter, sorry.

States have passed almost no measures restricting clean energy permitting in 2026, a big change from 2025. In fact, more states are pushing to streamline solar, wind and battery projects as the best (only?) near-term way to meet booming energy demand: www.canarymedia.com/articles/cle... #energysky

State legislatures are getting better at clean-energy permitting…

Unlike in 2025, almost no states have passed laws that make it harder to permit and site renewables this year, a report finds. What’s driving the shift?
