Mostly post about teaching, theatre, rugby and politics, sometimes together. Views are my own. (he/him)

I can't tell you just how much you should fuck off, Nick. If I screamed "FUCK OFF" like a howler monkey in your face for several hours it wouldn't be sufficient. Not even close.

Clegg is against tuition fees

I need an option on YouTube to turn off visualised podcasts! I go to YouTube to watch funny animal videos and old rugby clips, not an hour of someone talking about their journey!

I'm so proud of Yassin. He made Bristol and Britain his home. He has contributed so much as a Green Party Cllr to his city and to the community in Lawrence Hill. Solidarity in the face of this Reform fuelled racist hate. Hope always wins!

Matt Goodwin complaining about Yassun Mohamad - the law mayor of Bristol. Saying that we shouldn't have former refugees running our cities.

I don't want to hear another word about how much white European visitors are enjoying ranch dressing while team officials, Africa's top referee, and now one of the world's most celebrated fans are turned away from the World Cup. The USA is an utterly unfit host — it's as simple as that

DR Congo superfan denied US visa to support team at World Cup

Michel Kuka Mboladinga is iconic for his motionless tribute at DRC games, but a US World Cup repeat has been denied.

Why are we standing by and watching this happen? “Israel continues to commit genocide by deliberately targeting Palestinian children in Gaza, an independent UN inquiry has found…. about 30% of the people killed by Israeli forces have been children.” www.theguardian.com/world/2026/j...

It was inevitable, wasn't it🙄 Of course the Telegraph would run with something like this👇 So let's remove some of the rose-tinted spectacles and also look at some of that data comparing 1976 with modern heat waves Because the 1976 nostalgia porn is wearing a bit thin at this stage 🧵1/23

Telegraph headiline:

"Heatwave hysterics wouldn't have lasted a day in 1976", overlaid with a bold “MONK DEBUNKED” stamp.

Reform have now lost six by-elections in a row in England, Scotland and Wales. Their national poll rating is 26% – below Labour in 1983 – and Farage’s approval rating is -37. They’re very far from the voice of the people and need to stop being treated as such.

The rise in antisemitism isn't in isolation. The persistent demonisation of trans people, the dehumanisation of refugees and asylum seekers (especially on small boats), extreme misogyny, all contribute to this enviornment. It's grim. We have to stand in solidarity with all groups being attacked.

A little reminder for Andy Burnham. There's no middle ground between people wanting to exist and people who don't want those people to exist. Ironicly, those positions are a binary. You can't exclude trans people from public life in a fair way. You can't do a genocide on us compassionately.

New Reform councillors off to a great start by refusing to vote on anything because they haven't a clue what anything means, how anything works or what the fuck they are doing. Vote Reform, get lazy, incompetent, ignorant morons.
