Embrace the central themes.. healthcare for all, affordable food & housing… & incorporate those into mainstream dem platforms - don’t stop until the concepts become embedded in the minds of the tiny-brained & the “don’t rock the boat” hand-wringers.

If there has been a shift it reflects the Rightwing co-opting of media and their post Citizens big money floating the system. But as you suggest, Dem Traditionalists would naturally embrace their New Deal roots.

This (fixing/maintaining your own equipment) goes back farmers. And it should be a basic right for anything a person buys.

And people wonder how the super rich got rich. Govt subsidies and not paying vendors. When they sue, get tied up in court and get offered a deal to take pennies on the dollar or spend what they would get on lawyer fees. Most take it after a few yrs, with urging from their own lawyers.
