A great primer on what’s at stake with question 9 on the MA ballot, which asks voters whether they want to keep our 2024 gun safety law or repeal it. Vote YES on 9 to keep this law in place, and check out my remarks below on why we should do so! 1/ www.boston.com/news/politic...

What to know about Mass. Ballot Question 9, the effort to repeal a sweeping gun reform law

A yes vote would keep the sweeping gun reform law in place, while a no vote would repeal it.

This is why you absolutely should not be using the cloud models. We don't have the infrastructure to power them cleanly. Powering Claude and ChatGPT is all incremental pollution, and for what? What have we gained?

My god. A Virginia data center ran backup diesel generators full blast for 24 hours, creating a giant cloud of toxic smoke that choked its human neighbors. The government claimed there was nothing they could do.

After a company owned by the billionaire Moroun family erected a concrete plant in their quiet neighborhood, Detroit residents said they began battling air pollution so thick they could “taste the dust.” They say local and state officials have been little help.

#Wildwood is a truly captivating story with second-to-none stop-motion animation; fully-formed, nuanced characters who avoid common tropes; and a fantastical story that feels both familiar in its nuts-and-bolts and unexpected in all the ways that matter. 🙌 Read Our ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review Here: bit.ly/3WjSyFD

And now the best part: Bot traffic from the #Yandex network has plunged to near zero following the strike on its Vladimir data center. Bot traffic includes automated requests from search crawlers, scrapers and other online services. Twitter must be a ghost town by now.

I was once told by a cop, at a training triggered by a sharp increase in drugging and SA at large events in the 2010s, that their job was to disprove allegations, that 99% of victims were liars, and they were there to lock up people who made false allegations. Which was basically everyone.

You’re sexually assaulted. You report. And the police make you the suspect. Police unleash a slew of interrogation techniques meant for criminal suspects on vulnerable people.

Things got more insane just about as soon as I posted this last night. DHS is now arguing that we cannot even put the names of ICE officers in our lawsuit against those officers. Their position is that, if a defendant works for DHS, they cannot be named in a lawsuit. Never seen anything like it.
