Happy birthday to me. I never thought I'd make it to 50. Between my near-death experiences and mental health struggles, it still seems almost impossible.

Can I point out that the "anti-establishment" dems the DNC is freaking about are... *checks notes* ...working to better their constituents' lives through civic action. The anti-establishment position is to literally do things voters want. IN THE DEMS. Check yourself, DNC.

I used to think it was crazy that each Flock camera costs taxpayers $2,500/month! But now it all makes sense. These are valuable objects that may contain up to 2-3 lbs of copper and 1-2 grams of gold.

Opinion: Mamdani's idea may sound appealing, but it's NYC taxpayers who will take the hit, subsidizing discounts they may never even use.

It isn't the most significant event, perhaps, but I find Fletcher's decision to calmly pass command of the battle to Spruance after Yorktown was crippled at Midway one of those tests of character a great many commanders fail, which he passed.

Every so often, I trot out my deep barritone voice to fuck with a friend who hasn't heard it before (or in a long time) and, ngl, the reactions are usually glorious. Today it was my gamers/improvisors, and they thought they'd heard my deep voice as an NPC voice before but....no. No, they hadn't.

I've only seen most of TOS from the cut down, syndicated episodes. The uncut episodes often have pacing problems, but there's also some really interesting scenes I've never seen before.
