Brilliant letter from Stuart Thompson to Jeremy Clarkson about his comments that benefit claimants should write weekly thank you letters to tax payers detailing how they spend their benefits each week.

‘Right now, the trans and nonbinary community is fighting many of the same tabloid lies and legal obstacles thrown at lesbians, gay men and bisexuals since for ever. We are unnatural, we are a danger to children, we spy on you in toilets.‘ On solidarity, Pride and visibility.

I wrote about Berlin and Pride and solidarity, especially within our community. I hope it helps. observer.co.uk/news/opinion...

[mysterious circle of robed figures] Kathleen Stock: dark lord! dark lord! Stock: terrible news!! Stock: the feile en phobail art festival says we can't run our usual genital inspection booth! JK Rowling: WHAT Rowling: thisss iss an outrage!! Rowling: the people LOVE our genital insspection booth!!

If you're a trans person in England (or the parent or guardian of a young trans person in England) I strongly recommend doing this immediately. The new data principles for the shared NHS record in England - based on the transphobic and psuedoscientific Sullivan Review - are designed to out us.

You can opt-out of having a shared NHS record. I opted out over a decade ago now and it has never affected any of the medical care I receive except having to give new doctors a list of my medicine because they can't pull it off my GPs system. www.nhs.uk/using-the-nh...

Vale Tom Chadbon. A lot of us are (rightly) talking about Duggan, but Chadbon did an amazing thing in Blake's 7, portraying Del Grant as a guest character who could hold his own against Avon. Big Finish would bring the back and develop the character over further adventures. A brilliant actor.

Avon (Paul Darrow) talks to Grant (Tom Chadbon) about the latter's sister Anna, with whom Avon was romantically involved. They were separated when Avon was attacked while trying to secure papers for their escape, and Anna went missing and is presumed dead. Blake (Gareth Thomas) looks on in the background.

Rowling does not "stand by every word" of her 2020 essay. For example, she cited her experience of domestic abuse as a guiding factor in her feelings about trans rights, and yet, has firmly sat on her hands when three prominent allies of her's knowingly did interviews with domestic abusers. 1/

Tweet from JK Rowling: I’ve just seen a post from yet another man who thinks my position has shifted since I wrote my 2020 essay about gender identity ideology and the consequent clash of rights https://jkrowling.com/opinions/j-k-rowling-writes-about-her-reasons-for-speaking-out-on-sex-and-gender-issues/

For the avoidance of doubt, I stand by every word I wrote then

Another excellent @monkemma.bsky.social debunks on that shameful Telegraph Article twisting a scientific paper to climate denying end. And the clue that they knew that what they were doing was misleading lies in their final little statement. monkdebunks.substack.com/p/heatwaves-...

Heatwaves Caused by Fall in Pollution? Not really...

What a study on European warming actually found and how it got twisted into a climate-denial talking point.
